“Know what you own, and know why you own it.” – Peter Lynch

We’re still seeing strong action, even in the face of poor GOOGL earnings.

All in all, the strength remains intact but surely we do need to take a rest in the not too distant future so I’m ready to reduce or lock in gains when that signal comes.

Solid action from SPY as it trends nicely higher.

Have a great night.

“One of the scariest things in our lives is actually doing what we know we want to do.”  Cheryl Strayed

This market just can’t decide on a trend, and that’s fine.

Consolidation is great after a nice run higher as we’ve seen this year.

No real panic to get too heavy into stocks but trading a few here and there can be fine, although I’ve not had a lot of luck the last couple weeks and have taken a few small losses as a result.

It happens in choppy markets.

The metals were acting just great to kick off Friday but closed weak which is a pity.

Let’s see how Monday goes but I may soon be out of my mining positions.

The theme is lots of chop for the moment as we take a break from the ongoing bull market.

A nice range here for SPY which means you can play the lower and upper levels until we break one way or the other, most likely higher.

Enjoy your weekend.

Grinding

“For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness.”  Ralph Waldo Emerson

I heard a stat that we’re about 45 days without a 1% move but what they don’t mention is that we are trending nicely higher.

I still see many calling for tops and the “need” for a large correction.

While this isn’t out of the question, this trend is grinding along nicely and there is no sign of a blowoff top at all.

Now, I could see this trend continuing until about May, with acceleration into the top.

That would most likely be the time the Fed raises rates and also the time traders say to “go away” for the summer.

All I know is the trend is strong and steady and not showing me a sign of stopping.

Trending higher is SPY, and that’s that.

“You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.” — Zig Ziglar

The week ended on a positive note as we continue to trend higher.

No sign of a top that I can spot yet so enjoy the ride!

Many, many buys have hit and are working well so there aren’t a ton of buy levels around.

I’ve been heavy into stocks since December and have been letting it ride.

I take what the market gives me.

Sometimes it’s a trading market, other times it’s a buy and hold market as we have now.

Looking great is SPY, with a bull flag setting up which means the next move should be higher.

I’m not so focused on buying, since I have no buying power left, rather letting my positions work, as long as they do work.

Enjoy your long weekend.

First, my apologies as a “Renew Subscription” email was sent to all my free subscribers, please disregard, but feel free to subscribe to this full letter!

The bull market continues and stocks are acting great, along with buying and holding as a strategy.

That said, many, including AAPL, may roll over to rest a bit, and give us a higher low in this trending market.

Gold is looking fine here and moving into a trending market, to the upside which many are very happy about.

A nice chart that is trending higher for now.

Have a great night and long weekend ahead, and please do subscribe to get this whole letter.

“Everything you want is just outside your comfort zone.”  Robert Allen

We ended the slightly choppy week on a very positive note, which is jut what we want to see.

In bull markets we often see early day weakness but then strength into the close, as institutions do their buying.

This is doubly so when it comes to looking at weekly charts.

A strong close to the week is super positive.

The trend remains up.

A nice little shake and bake this week for SPY as it tested and held the breakout area nicely.

Now we’re setting up a little U pattern which is positive and gives us 230 as a buy area now.

“There are two types of people who will tell you that you cannot make a difference in this world: those who are afraid to try and those who are afraid you will succeed.” –Ray Goforth

Pretty quiet markets today but a few stocks are moving well such as AMZN and a new position of ours, PSA.

I bought a few more today also, NFLX and FB look good and there are more and more buys setting up well, many of which were in my weekend letter.

We may see some quiet action until the Fed release later this week but chances of them raising rates are slim to none so we should be fine to move higher from here.

SPY March 15, 2016SPY was quiet but holding above the 200 day average very well and still looking for higher.

All in all, a nice quite day on very low volume as we continue to trend higher.

Enjoy your evening.
